A Mulberry Summer...

Another one of my favourites, Mulberry. The classic English brand which have wowed with pretty purple patterned dresses and embellishment but now they've gone all 'summer in the city' for their SS11 collection. Filled with sharp tailoring but in lightweight material, they have summer in the city down to a t. Neutral colours are key to this trend, pastel florals, pretty pink, powder blues but with a bold metallic statement Mulberry purple and classic black to complete the collection. My favourites; 'paper bag' style pink skirt with peter pan collar blouse, high waisted cream trousers with floral frill neckline blouse, beautiful floral dress with the same neckline detail, peach blouse with cuff embellishment and peach trousers, and finally the wide leg high waisted belted peach shorts. Obviously the finale dress also made it onto that list but I felt that deserved a line or two of it's own. Classic voluminous Mulberry and very New York City glamour. It's so nice to see such a glamorous, statement black dress in a Spring/Summer collection, black never gets old, and looks suprisingly wonderful against sun kissed summer skin...


p.s. the models' hair was to die for - a beautiful auburn which looks amazing against the colours in the collection, and not to mention the stunning rosette backdrop!
