Badgley Mischka...

I applaude you. I find myself literally gasping seeing the pieces emerging onto the catwalk for the fourth/fifth time this week. There are collections that have bored me to tears, there are collections I have sat and looked at and been genuinely confused - yes I mean you Betsey Johnson, but then there have been those that I have found worthy enough to talk about on here - meaning there is actually something to talk about! And Badgley Mischka is certainly one of the few. Sultry, classic summer wear in light wearing fabrics, pretty pastel shades and oversized hats make for the perfect SS11 collection. Striking the balance between delicate yet extremely fashionable/wearable can be somewhat difficult. Where do you draw the line between just enough and too much? But creative talents behind the Badgley Mischka collection managed to strike this balance perfectly. Dresses that to the untrained eye were as simple they come but its the intricate detailing like a little embellishment here and a ruffle or two there that brought the collection to life and made it astounding.

Out of the 44 pieces, I'd say I liked 44 pieces. Nothing was ott or too 'one trend'. As I said above, it was a wearable collection, pretty enough to create a stir but simple enough to avoid the stares. Perfection, and you can see my very favourites in pictures below...
