In keeping with the chiffon theme, Valentino ensured that pretty stayed cool and is a key trend for SS11. Beautiful sheer chiffon dresses in nude, pink, black, white and obviously one stand out gown in Valentino red that fell in vertical pleats to the floor. Tiny floral embellishments were a key appliqué detail, cut away backs, shots of coral and neon pink and minuscule black hotpoants were perfect additions to the generally prim and proper nude palette. Typical Valentino shapes but with demure shapes, stiff collars and ruffle detail gave the collection texture and depth.
