His last collection was unveiled at an appointment only event in Paris. WWD reported "A solemn parade of 15 showpieces in a gilded salon made for a moving viewing". According to sources, the show was breathtakingly beautiful and filled with lots of religious references.

The Angels are hot property for this season's runway shows. After Prada and Giles Deacon it has also been rumoured that Alessandra Ambrosio will walk the runway for Givenchy at today's show. She is definitely making her mark on the couture runways...

Balmain go gold...

To the voice of Prince, the models strutted down the catwalk in a flurry of gold. Gold sequins, gold fringing, gold brocade, wrong but right gold skin tight pants, black velvet jackets with stunning gold embellishment, leopard print dresses with gold stud applique detail and floor length gold dresses with thigh skimming splits. Such a luxurious feel to the line, stepping away from the tacky, OTT essence of gold and making it right again for Autumn/Winter 2010. The floor length, thigh skimming split dress may be a little much for some of us, but the gold pants are easily wearable. Dress them down with a plain top and wear with ankle boots. The tip seems to be - don't go overboard. You need to have the ability to realise when enough is enough. And if all out gold is too much try jackets with gold embellishment or dresses with gold brocade...

The Angels are out again...

Firstly walking the runway for Prada, now for Giles Deacon. Last night at his show Giles Deacon had the girls on show again, proving that they can do more than flounce around in pretty lingerie. My favourite Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was involved, along with Alessandra Ambrosio, Natasha Poly and Karolina Kurkova. These girls are definitely making a name for themselves as couture models...

The British girl next door, that the US can't seem to get enough of. And it's obvious why. As the face of Burberry, she manages to look unimaginably stunning on every appearance. Elegant, pure and mesmerising. And it does not stop there, from her elegance for Burberry, she also manages to play it sexy as one of Victoria's Secret Angels. She is absolutely mesmerising from her light brown loosely tousled hair to her English rose skin that looks just as perfect in the Victoria's Secret lingerie as in the ads for Burberry.

Gone all girly...

The weathers that little bit warmer, the nights are lighter longer and the sun is actually visible in the sky these days. So it's time to go all girly and embrace your Spring/Summer wardrobe. And why not jump in with both feet? Go with Chanel. Go with their girly but sexy dolly girl/milkmaid look.

Think dresses with embroidery, skirts with a little bit of puff, crochet cardigans and toughen the look up with elements of black if all out girly is too much for you. Do this with a black cardigan, chunky clogs or a wide belt. Keep makeup simple, hair a little messy and accessories to a minimum. for a perfect breaking into Spring 2010 look.
